Pies for CHUM

Twice a year, the FUMC kitchen reverberates with volunteers baking pies for CHUM.

CHUM shelters and feeds our neighbors, provides community for those who have none, and engages congregations and the Duluth community to create a more just and compassionate community.

In the fall, bakers at FUMC convert canned pumpkin donated to the CHUM food shelf into hundreds of  pumpkin pies. The pies are sold and the proceeds go to CHUM.

June brings the CHUM Rhubarb Festival, a day-long celebration of all things rhubarb. Pies, scones, and truffles are FUMC’s annual contribution. The festival is CHUM’s biggest fundraiser, bringing in over $60,000 a year.
