Garden Sunday June 4

May 2, 2017

It’s beginning to look a lot like springtime. And you know what that means—garden season! FUMC Garden Committee is enlisting interested volunteers for this upcoming season. No experience necessary, as we enjoy all skill levels. Last season we had ~30 volunteers who helped in making our FUMC gardens beautiful!

There is a variety of jobs to share: shopping, planting, weeding, watering…even socializing! We can be very flexible with your schedule. Even if you are only available for part of the summer, or only on certain days, or only request a certain type of work, we will work with you. With last year’s great group of volunteers, many were here only once every other week. And they didn’t have to take care of all gardens, as we divide the gardens up into teams. We really try to make your garden volunteer experience a fun, workable one. And it’s so great to share in the joy and pride of our gardens!

Call one of us for more information or to sign up: Marlene Bowen 729-6526, Mary Giese 624-5138, Linda Harper 724-2383, Laura Krumwiede 728-5723, or Carolyn Schroeder 724-3358.

Our planting day after the service is on Sunday, June 4. Hope to see out in the gardens this summer!
