Sustainability stresses care for God’s creation and how to live in a more sustainable way. At FUMC, we strive to integrate sustainable activities into all aspects of church life and Christian living. In one ongoing ministry, we clean up two miles of litter along Maple Grove Road each year.

Each spring, FUMC members sweep and bag winter sand, gravel, and salt to prevent FUMC's parking lot sediment from traveling down the hillside into Lake Superior. (Photo by Naomi Yaeger)
