Exploration
Sunday morning classes, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Grades 6-9
Grades 9-12
Middle school and high school youth are mostly beyond discovering the stories of faith and are now exploring their own ideas about the world, the way faith intersects with those ideas, and how they choose to respond. Exploration is about empowering youth in forming their faith decisions. Middle school youth explore Bible stories and their own faith through discussion, games, and art. High school youth explore through discussion how the Bible and their faith fit into current events, the American teen culture, and global issues. Both groups register each week at the lower level, east entrances.
Confirmation
Grade 8
Grade 9
Confirmation classes meet two Wednesday evenings per week (September-May) to explore the Bible and the Christian life of faith and grace. The focus in year one (Grade 8) is on the life and teachings of Jesus. Year two (Grade 9) explores the Bible, the church, the Christian life, and confirmation vows. Special events enhance the confirmation experience.
