Palm Sunday, April 17: When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him with waving palm branches. We will mark this celebration with a children’s palm processional and special music. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he began his journey to the cross.
Maundy Thursday, April 21, is a Ruby’s Pantry distribution night. On the day when we remember Jesus eating with his disciples for the last time, it seems very appropriate that we are sharing food with our neighbors. Mark your calendars; there will be plenty of volunteer opportunities.
Good Friday: Special Holy Week Worship. With Maundy Thursday falling on a Ruby’s Pantry night, the worship committee decided to offer a special worship service of communion and prayer on Friday night, April 22 at 7pm. Worship will begin in the sanctuary and offer the opportunity to visit various prayer stations on the sanctuary level before returning to the sanctuary for communion. Mark your calendars for this unique worship experience.
