Older students serve on the Worship Force as Acolytes (4th grade and up), Scripture Readers (5th grade and up), Wee Wonder Teen Leaders (6th grade and up), and Projection Team (middle school/high school youth).
Younger elementary students can serve on the Hello Team (1st grade minimum),which welcomes and aids worshippers coming to the sanctuary, or as Gatherers (3rd grade minimum), who work with adult partners to collect Sunday offerings, gather recyclable materials, and straighten worship materials.

All families who attend First UMC or participate in the ministries at First UMC should be registered with the main Family Ministry database to receive emails and notifications. This internet database is a closed group administered by Director of Children’s and Family Ministries Laura Stahl. Laura Stahl will set up the account for you after obtaining the necessary information. Or register yourself online. Enter “coppertop” and your information and Submit. After the Administrator allows you access, you will be able to access your account by entering in your email address and password. Then you can add information about your family.
