Scripture Reading: Ephesians 2:11-22

Sermon: Us and Them, MaryAnne Korsch preaching

Morning Prayer: Gracious God, sometimes we get trapped in ourselves and don’t even know it. We hurt ourselves and then blame other people.  Or we can get so sure that our way is the only way that we can’t see other, better ways.  We make rules and call them truth when the real truth is that those rules help us and hurt others.  We use people for our own purposes and then write them off when they get upset with us.  God, when we get snared in ourselves like this, come after us!  Corner us!  Wrestle us down!  Open our eyes to see what we are doing to ourselves and to others. And then re-create our lives to become the strong, fully-alive people you enable us to be.  In Christ.  Amen.

Songs: In Christ There is No East or West; Be Thou My Vision; Christ Beside Me

Musicians: Velda Graham Bell, organ; Spootiskerry at Tide (celtic ensemble: David Craig, Jenna Mattson, Elijah Jensen, Cynthia Coffin-Langdon, Steve Mattson)
