Worship August 9, 2015
We would be delighted to welcome you to worship at 10 a.m.
Scripture Reading: John 6:35, 41-51
Sermon: Death By Bread Alone
Morning Prayer: Gracious God, time, energy and attention are among our most precious resources. Yet how often they seem to get away from us. So much comes at us labeled “urgent,” but the urgent is not necessarily the important. Taking care of the necessities of life is important, but sometimes accumulation becomes an end in itself. Grant us wisdom, O God, to discern how best to use our time, energy and attention. Grant us grace to minimize spiritual empty calories and to avoid death by bread alone. In Jesus, the Bread of Life. Amen.
Songs: Holy, Holy, Holy; Precious Lord, Take My Hand; Be Still My Soul
Musicians: Joshua Peterson, organ; Ellen Hill, French horn; Sam Marks, French horn; Elizabeth Nelson, vocal; Steve Farrell, vocal; Carol Donahue, piano
