Worship for Sunday July 10, 2016
Join us for our 10 a.m. worship service. We would be delighted to welcome you. Stay and have a cup of coffee with us.
Scripture Reading: Luke 10:25-37
Sermon: Whatever Happens
Morning Prayer: Gracious God, hearing the well-known story told by Jesus about a good Samaritan, we see that much about the world remains the same – violence and treachery leave people wounded and bleeding on the edges of the world. Too often people turn away, busy in their own lives – even respectable people, even well-intentioned people. What also remains the same is that compassion and love heal, and that all are capable of being compassionate and loving. By your grace and the power of your Spirit, guide us in the way of compassion, the way of love, the way of Jesus, in whom we pray. Amen.
Songs: Rejoice in God’s Saints; Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart; The Servant Song
Musicians: Velda Graham Bell, organ; Libby Gaalaas, clarinet; String Ensemble: Josie Peterson, Nakiah Lanthier, Elaina Mattson and Jenna Mattson, violin; Joshua Peterson, Kevin Peterson, viola; Rebecca Peterson, cello; Rowan Racette, bass
