Third Thursday of the month

Food for all who need to stretch their food dollars:

Ruby’s Pantry-Coppertop has been distributing food at First United Methodist, the Coppertop Church at 230 East Skyline Parkway, on the third Thursday of every month since 2010. Ruby’s Pantry-Coppertop is a community partner of Ruby’s Pantry. There are no income guidelines and anyone may participate.

For a $22 donation (cash only; checks and EBT cards cannot be accepted), participants receive approximately two large boxes of food. Please bring your own boxes—laundry baskets work very well.

Contents of a share vary depending upon what food is available to Ruby’s Pantry at the time; some typical items are listed below. We often post information about food items at facebook.com/rubyspantrycoppertop on distribution day.

Food distribution at FUMC is on the third Thursday of every month, with registration from 4 to 6:30pm and distribution beginning at about 5:15 and continuing until the distribution ends at about 6:45pm.

For Volunteers:

Give an hour or more, anytime between 3 and 8 pm. Choose a task: welcome, traffic control, unloading truck, food repackaging, food distribution, carry-out helper, box recycling, clean-up. It’s easy and fun!
