Strikepoint to Represent the U.S.

Strikepoint has been selected by the Handbell Musicians of America to represent the United States in a special public concert being held during the International Handbell Symposium in Hamamatusu, Japan. The concert will feature just one group from each of the eight recognized national handbell guilds or organizations around the world.

The piece Strikepoint has elected to play was written for Strikepoint by internationally recognized composer Hart Morris and dedicated to the memory of Cindy Alexander, co-founder and eternal driving force of Strikepoint. Strollin’ Along was commissioned by Bill Alexander, Strikepoint, and, unusually, by the composer.

The Symposium happens every other year and rotates among the member countries. Strikepoint will be in Japan from August 8-18 but will present a send-off concert at FUMC at 7pm on August 4.
