New Choral Scholar Program

November 23, 2019

The music program at First UMC is initiating a Choral Scholar Program funded by the Carol Donahue Scholarship Fund. We expect the Choral Scholar to attend the choir’s weekly Wednesday rehearsals and sing with the choir for Sunday morning services, as well as special services. Depending on the Choral Scholar’s interests and abilities, there will be opportunities for them to lead sectional rehearsals, conduct selected anthems, lead vocal warm-ups and sing solos. They will be paid an honorarium of $100 per month. If you or someone you know might be interested in this opportunity, please have them contact Velda Bell at or 218-727-5021. The Choral Scholar will be selected by Mike Goodlet and Velda Bell, with priority given to college students majoring in music.
